Born in 1963 in Encino, California, he began playing the saxophone in his youth and quickly rose to prominence in the late 1980s, touring with artists like Bobby Caldwell and Richard Marx. His solo career took off with his 1990 debut album and has since led to numerous chart-topping albums, Grammy nominations, and collaborations with icons such as Celine Dion, Stevie Nicks, and Barry Manilow. Koz's engaging stage presence and musical versatility have made him a staple in contemporary jazz, while his popular syndicated radio show and annual Dave Koz & Friends At Sea cruises have expanded his influence beyond music. With a legacy built on innovation, collaboration, and a passion for performance, Dave Koz remains one of jazz’s most enduring and influential figures.
Marcus Anderson
Marcus Anderson is a Grammy and Stellar Award-nominated saxophonist, composer, and producer from Spartanburg, South Carolina. Born into a musically gifted family, he began performing in church at a young age. He studied jazz at North Carolina Central University under Dr. Ira Wiggins and later with Branford Marsalis and Donald Hayes. With 18 studio albums to his name, Anderson's music blends jazz, R&B, pop, rock, and funk, earning him five Billboard No. 1 hits and recognition on SiriusXM's Watercolors. He has performed with artists like Prince, Stevie Wonder, CeeLo Green, and Judith Hill, and has appeared on major television shows such as The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and The Arsenio Hall Show. Beyond music, Anderson owns "AND Coffee" and hosts the annual Jazz and Coffee Festival in Asheville, NC.
Jeff Bradshaw
Jeff Bradshaw is a Philadelphia-born trombonist renowned for his fusion of jazz, R&B, and hip-hop. Raised in a musically rich environment, his father, a minister and musician, introduced him to brass instruments early on. Choosing the trombone over more popular instruments in high school, Bradshaw aimed to bring the instrument into contemporary music. His debut album, Bone Deep (2003), showcased his unique sound and set the stage for a prolific career. Over the years, he has collaborated with artists like Michael Jackson, The Roots, Erykah Badu, and Jill Scott, and has been a key figure in the Philadelphia neo-soul movement.
In 2023, Bradshaw released Jeff Bradshaw 20, marking two decades as a solo artist. The album features collaborations with Eric Roberson, Raheem DeVaughn, and others, reflecting his growth and experiences over the years. Currently, he continues to perform and inspire audiences worldwide, solidifying his legacy as a pioneering trombonist in modern music.
Leo P
Leo P (Leo Pellegrino) is a Pittsburgh-born baritone saxophonist renowned for his dynamic performances that blend jazz, funk, and dance. Born on June 3, 1991, he began his musical journey with the clarinet, performing polkas with his father, an accordionist. Inspired by John Coltrane, he transitioned to the saxophone and later discovered his passion for the baritone saxophone during high school. Leo pursued his studies at the Manhattan School of Music, graduating in 2013. While at the school, he was part of the Afro-Cuban Jazz Orchestra and recorded with them.
In 2014, Leo began busking in New York City's subway stations, where he met trumpet player Matt "Doe" Muirhead and drummer David "King of Sludge" Parks. Together, they formed the brass band Too Many Zooz, known for their energetic "brass house" style—a fusion of jazz, funk, and EDM. Their performances gained viral attention, leading to collaborations with artists like Beyoncé and appearances at prestigious venues such as Royal Albert Hall. Leo's distinctive performance style, characterized by his dancing while playing, vibrant hair, and bold fashion choices, has made him a standout figure in contemporary jazz.
In 2018, Leo released his debut solo album, Sax Star Suite Pt. 1, showcasing his versatility and innovative approach to the baritone saxophone. He continues to perform and collaborate with various artists, solidifying his reputation as a trailblazer in modern jazz.
